St. Augustine Fireworks and Concert – Starting at 6 p.m., the All Star Orchestra performs in the Plaza de la Constitucion. At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast bursts above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of Matanzas Bay. Viva España! Viva St. Augustine! Wine Tastings- In celebration of Spanish culture in historic St. Augustine and the United States of America, enjoy a special tasting of refreshing flavors of imported Sangria, including non-alcoholic blends. World Golf Village Fireworks – Renaissance World Golf Resort celebrates Independence Day with its annual American Tasting Room and special seating for the World Golf Village fireworks. Then from 8 – 10 p.m., VoicePlay, a five-piece a cappella group creating a musical masterpiece using only their voice will perform under the fireworks display with reserved seating. Solarium Tours – Following a $2.3 million restoration, the magnificent Solarium of Henry Flagler’s Hotel Ponce de Leon is now open for public tours. Closed for decades, the Solarium was one of the outstanding amenities of the hotel when it opened in 1888. Now Flagler College, the former hotel was one of the world’s most exclusive destinations during America’s Gilded Age. The Solarium is a fourth floor parlor above the Rotunda and boasts a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.   The 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Solarium tours, which include the hourly Historical Tours of Flagler College, are $18 per person. Living History Day at Fort Matanzas National Monument – From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., authentically clad reenactors demonstrate Spanish cannons at this fortress that guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. Admission is free including the ferry ride to and from Rattlesnake Island. Marine Biology Eco Tour – Join one St. Augustine Eco Tour’s expert naturalist on a small boat tour to learn about St. Augustine’s unique marine environment. See beautiful shorebirds, learn about dolphin behavior, and listen to the sounds of dolphin chatter from underwater microphones.
