THE PLAYERS Championship – The game’s greatest players compete at TPC Sawgrass – THE PLAYERS Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach. THE PLAYERS Championship is recognized by PGA TOUR members as “their” championship tournament. It features one of the most coveted titles in professional golf, the strongest field of competitors and the richest purse.  In addition to practice rounds Monday through Wednesday, this year’s schedule includes THE PLAYER’S Wives Tournament and Community Day on Tuesday and Military Appreciation Day and Country Music star Dierks Bentley free concert on Wednesday. Picasso: Art & Arena Exhibit – An exhibition featuring dozens of Picasso originals, including many that have never been seen previously in the United States. Both famous and rare, these pieces were produced in different styles, techniques and media; providing unique insights into one of Picasso’s main themes: bullfighting.  The exhibition is at the Visitor Information Center,10 Castillo Dr. in St. Augustine. “Deeper-New Works Art Exhibit to Benefit Rikki” – Space:Eight Gallery exhibit opens with all new works by Chip Southworth produced for benefit of Rikke Southworth to aid in her ongoing battle with breast cancer. The American Glass Guild Presents American Glass Now: 2013 – The St. Augustine Art Association will host the second juried American Glass Guild exhibition featuring works by acclaimed stained glass artists.   Admission is free. St. Augustine Art Association Canvas, Clay, Collage & Cutting Edge – The St. Augustine Art Association combines four exciting themes into one juried exhibit. Cutting Edge is defined as work that pushes the boundaries of ideas and/or materials. World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Gala – One of the most important annual events in golf, the World Golf Foundation recognizes some of the game’s greatest achievers when the Class of 2013 is inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at World Golf Village, located off I-95 Exit 323 in St. Augustine. www.WorldGolfHallofFame.org.

Music by the Sea Concert Series 2013 – Live concert with the band Outta Sight playing R/R take place from 7-9 p.m. at the St. Augustine Beach Pier Pavilion, 350 A1A Beach Blvd. Admission is free and local restaurant Wildflower Cafe will offer signature dinners for $10. Military Appreciation Day & Dierks Bentley Concert at THE PLAYERS– Dierks Bentley will be a part of THE PLAYERS Military Appreciation Day ceremony, themed, “A Salute to the United States Navy.” The program on the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse Lawn will include pageantry by military personnel, performance by the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus, as well as remarks from PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem and other dignitaries. World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater:   Ironman in 3D Max – Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds.Show times vary daily.   The Last Reef 3D – From the makers of Wild Ocean comes an underwater journey exploring our connection with the cities beneath the sea. Show times are 11 a.m. on Tuesday and noon on Wednesday and Friday. Flight of the Butterflies 3D – It is a natural history epic. It is a detective story. THE PLAYERS Championship at the World Golf Hall of Fame – The World Golf Hall of Fame will offer special scavenger hunts, photo opportunities with THE PLAYERS Championship trophy and access to the new class of 2013 Induction Exhibit. Thursday – Sunday, the tournament will be broadcast throughout the Hall of Fame. All THE PLAYERS ticket and badge holders will receive 50% off admission. Mothers get in for free on Mother’s Day. Regular admission is $19.50 adults; $18.50 seniors; and $10 for students. Limelight Theatre Presents ‘Til Beth Do Us Part’ – A comedic farce about a southern housekeeper who whips a long-married couple into shape. Performance times are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. All performances take place at the Limelight Theatre, located at 11 Old Mission Ave. in St. Augustine. Romanza Week (continues through May 19) – Celebration of art and music in the nation’s oldest city features more than 50 productions and presentations by more than 30 organizations to kick off St. Augustine’s “anniversary years.” Daily events include music and dance performances, concerts, art shows, fashion show, dramatic productions and much more at locations throughout the city. Shot Down in Flames – A Tribute to AC/DC at The Standard – The Standard will host Shot Down In Flames — ultimate AC/DC tribute band. They re-create both shows of the AC/DC Lifetime playing all hits of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Shot Down in Flames plays everything from High Voltage to For Those About To Rock. San Augustin Sol Latin Jazz Festival at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre  – Concert featuring nine-time Grammy winner Eddie Palmieri Latin Jazz Band and Salsa Orchestra, plus Claudia Villela, at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, 1340 A1A South. Admission is 2-day VIP Pass $100 (includes Ponte Vedra concert on previous day); $75 VIP; $35 Reserved.

Romanza Ponce de Leon Parade – A festive and colorful walking processional of historical reenactors, drummers, soldiers, pirates and bands as they walk from the City Gate, down St. George St. ending at Romanza Festival Aviles and King street fairs. Second Saturday GTM Reserve Guided Trail Hike – Join GTM Research Reserve volunteers from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. for a 1.5 mile guided walk through the Guana Trail. After the walk, visit the GTM Research Reserve Environmental Education Center (EEC).  The EEC is located at 505 Guana River Road, Ponte Vedra Beach.  There is a $3.00 parking fee. Living History Day at Fort Matanzas National Monument – From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., reenactors will demonstrate Spanish cannons at this fortress that guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. Admission is free including the ferry ride to and from Rattlesnake Island. Dark Side of the Zoo– Zip over the zoo at night. Six zip lines and 23 obstacles allows adventure seekers to catch sights from the zoo that can only be detected in the dark. Mother’s Day Catamaran Sail – Special Mother’s Day sailing adventure aboard a stable, 27-foot catamaran cruising the Matanzas River. Mother’s Day Sail – Celebrate Mother’s Special Day with a cruise aboard St. Augustine’s premier tall ship, the Schooner Freedom. The 2-hour day sail on the Matanzas River casts off at 12:15 p.m and the Sunset Sail departs at 6:15 p.m. – both from the City Marina, 111 Avenida Menendez.
