Music Masters Lecture and Performance – EMMA and Flagler College host a Music Masters lecture featuring Louis Bremer, trombonist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.  Bremer will explore the intricacies of performing symphonic music with upwards of 100 people on stage.  The discussion will include chamber and solo performances by Louis of musical selections Sarabande from Cello Suite No 5 – J.S. The Chess Project Exhibition Opening – The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum at Flagler College will host artist Lee Walton’s “The Chess Project.” This exhibition is the tangible manifestation of the artist’s pursuit to master his hobby.  Admission is free. Living History Day at Fort Matanzas National Monument – From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., authentically clad 17th century reenactors will demonstrate Spanish cannons at this fortress that once guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. Fort Matanzas National Monument admission is free including the ferry ride to and from Rattlesnake Island.

Marine Ecology Fun – Jump aboard St. Augustine Eco Tour’s research vessel to explore brilliant green marshes with productivity that rivals even the most intact rainforest.
