The St. Francis Inn has been designated a Green Lodging by the state of Florida! The Florida Green Lodging program is a voluntary initiative that recognizes lodging facilities that make a commitment to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources. Inn Manager Kelly Brooks worked for several months not only to change many products and procedures here at the Inn, but to provide all the required documentation to the state to receive this special designation. Some of the changes include:
*Instead of putting bottles of water in our guest rooms we now provide recyclable, reusable water bottles for our guests to use and keep.
*We now provide an well-marked extra receptacle in every room for recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
