23rd ANNUAL ST. AUGUSTINE COLONIAL FOLK ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL * SATURDAY & SUNDAY * OCT 8-9

See colonial craftspeople from throughout Florida demonstrate “Lost Arts” such as spinning, weaving, basket making, blacksmithing, pottery making and many other arts and crafts. Historical musical performances, children’s hands-on craft experiences, storytelling and much more show how entertaining the old days could be. The event takes place each day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Colonial Spanish Quarter Museum, 53 St. George St., St. Augustine. Admission is free. 14th ANNUAL GREEK FESTIVAL * FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY * OCT 7-9

Come join the fun and experience St. Augustine’s fascinating Greek Heritage at the 14th Annual Greek Festival hosted by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Enjoy a delicious assortment of Greek foods, pastries and beverages along with nonstop entertainment with live Greek music and performances by Greek dance troupes.   The Festival takes place from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Francis Field behind St. Augustine’s Historic Downtown Parking Garage on Castillo Drive. FIESTA DE AVILES AND RUNNING OF THE BULLS * FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY * OCT 7-9

Run with the “bulls” on the oldest street in the oldest city when the 2nd Annual Fiesta de Aviles takes place in downtown St. Augustine. As part of First Friday Art Walk, the Fiesta’s opening event from 5-9 p.m. will feature the shops and galleries of Aviles Street. Saturday at 5 p.m., the running of the bulls will take place in a colorful and fun version of the world-famous event at Pamplona. The “bulls: will be propelled by Flagler College students who will chase runners dressed in traditional white with red sashes. There will also be live music in the street from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday is Sangria Sunday with a lively and tasty sangria contest and Tango dancers. Admission to all events is free and colorful Festival shirts will be available for $5. For more information, call 904.377.5166.
