Paseo Pastel – St. Augustine Chalk Walk Takes Place March 22-23 | ||
St. Augustine, Fla. (March 13, 2013) — The inaugural Paseo Pastel St. Augustine Chalk Walk in downtown St. Augustine, Fla., will be held Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24. This art event is free to the public and will be held on the sidewalks of the promenade in and around the St. Augustine Visitors Information Center, 10 West Castillo Drive.
The theme of the event is “Celebrating St. Augustine’s Heritage” in recognition of the state’s 500th anniversary. Through chalking, artists will illustrate St. Augustine’s rich historical tapestry. Featured artist Lee Jones, Orlando, will be joined by 70 artists, art educators and students to create a colorful outdoor canvas.
Children can create their own chalk designs at the Kid’s Corner sponsored by the Children’s Museum of the St. Johns.
