Find your Favorite St. Augustine Brewery
A lot of people probably say this, but we’ll happily repeat it: The St. Augustine brewery scene isn’t your typical scene. It’s unique, much like the city itself is unique and one-of-a-kind. It’s true that you’ll find some of the standard craft beers in our local St. Augustine breweries, like IPA’s and Porters, but you’ll also find a whole range of unique and interesting flavors. Think pineapple, coffee, chocolate, and coconut, to name a few.
Whatever it is you’re looking for, we’re sure you can find a St. Augustine brewery to satisfy your urge to throw back a cold pint of well-crafted beer! Either way, you’re sure to have an adventure, and we have no doubt you’ll enjoy the journey along the way.
Here are 4 great breweries to try next time you visit us in America’s oldest city.
- Ancient City Brewing, as the name implies, has some pretty old recipes it follows to craft its brews. They’re famous for things like their Matanzas Red River Ale, which offers a hint of chocolate and a pint of cozy on a rainy afternoon in downtown St. Augustine. Or maybe you’d rather try their Castillo Coconut Porter? We’d love to know which one is your favorite!
- It gets pretty warm down in St. Augustine during the summer, and sometimes a cold pint of beer is exactly what you need to cool off. If you find yourself in this situation, head to Dog Rose Brewing Company and down a deliciously sour pint of their Pucker-Up Ale. We think it’ll become your new summer go-to!
- How about enjoying a beer with a hint of Datil pepper? That’s what you’ll find at Bog Brewing Company when you try their Smoked Datil Ale. Datil peppers are a St. Augustine favorite, so it’s only appropriate they made their way into a beer! Alternatively, on an already hot day, you may want to try their Pucker-Up Pale Ale
- Coffee lovers won’t want to miss a stop in at Old Coast Ale’s Brewery and Taproom, if for no other reason than to try their coffee-infused Kookaburra Brown Ale. That’s not the only reason though. They offer seasons craft beer that just as delicious as they are fun.
