Tour de Farm was lots of fun yesterday. Chef Mary, “Office” Max, and friends took the Cabrio convertible; the weather was perfect! We saw Chef Poinard (Le Bistro de Leon) making herbal oils and vinegars and light salads at Fresh Start Hydroponics Farm (and you can buy Fresh Start’s lettuces, etc. at Stewart’s Market (just across the Bridge of Lions) – and we sampled vanilla-banana sorbet made from goat’s milk at Terk’s Acres Goat Farm (cheeses, yogurts and more available at our lovely Farmer’s Market Saturday mornings at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre – and we loved Maggie’s Herb Farm and the drive along the St. John’s River to get there! We finished our Tour de Farm at County Line Produce and loaded up the car with fresh broccoli (right off the truck!) cabbage, onions, potatoes, parsnips, and more. Great day!
