WINTER WONDERLAND AT ST. AUGUSTINE AMPHITHEATRE
Slide on in to Winter Wonderland and experience a real ice skating rink, ice slide, Elf Express train rides, The Elf Village, sleigh rides and SNOW! There are even scheduled visits from Santa. New this year – a ski chalet with a bar and closed circuit television! St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located at 1340 A1A St. Augustine. Hours are November 19 through December 17, Monday through Thursday 4 to 10 p.m.; Fridays from 4 to 11 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 11 p.m. and Sundays noon to 10 p.m.; and December 18 through January 2, Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 11 p.m. Admission is free with activity participation fees. 17th ANNUAL NIGHTS OF LIGHTS
Be there when the 17th Annual Nights of Lights blaze to life! Light-Up! Night begins at 4 p.m. in St. Augustine’s Plaza de la Constitucion when Showtime USA performs followed at 5:30 p.m. by the All Star Orchestra entertain. At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Boles will make introductions and holiday remarks from the King’s Balcony at Government House and at 6:45 p.m. the switches will be flipped – first for the city’s Christmas Tree and then for more than two million lights! Selected by AAA in 2010 as one of the 12 best events for holiday cheer in the U.S. and Canada and named one of the American Bus Association’s top 100 destinations for 2011, the spectacular lighting in St. Augustine reflects the city’s 445-year history while creating a beautiful setting for the holidays through January 31. Note: streets in the vicinity of the Plaza will be closed at 5:30 p.m. A flat $7 rate for all day parking will be available at the Historic Downtown Parking Facility. SUNSET/FULL MOON RIVER CRUISE
Get a beautiful view from the water as St. Augustine sparkles to life for the Nights of Lights. This adult-only cruise departs promptly at 5 p.m. from the dock at Cap’s on the Water Restaurant, 4325 Myrtle Street located off A1A approximately 5 miles north of St. Augustine. SUNSET/MOONRISE TOUR
View the sunset, moonrise and Nights of Lights from the most unique perspective in all of St. Augustine – the top of the Lighthouse! This special event includes a champagne toast, provided by San Sebastian Winery and an informative overview of the history of the St. Augustine Light Station. The tour takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the St. Augustine Lighthouse located at 81 Lighthouse Ave. in St. Augustine. The fee is $25 for non-museum members and $20 for members.
