RIDING INTO HISTORY MOTORCYCLE EVENT * SAT. MAY 15
For the 11th straight year,Riding Into History, one of America’s premier motorcycle events, will return to the World Golf Village from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature classic American motorcycles and include charity rides to World Golf Village, a bike show featuring hundreds of motorcycles along the Village’s Walk of Champions and a Biker’s Ball to be held at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village. Come learn the gardening techniques that residents of Fort Mose would have used more than 270 years ago and how they still apply today. This program takes place at 1 p.m. and is free with the regular park entrance fee of $4 per vehicle or $2 for individuals who bicycle, walk, or ride the trolley. The event is weather permitting. Hosted by Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback David Garrard, this exciting tournament features an inshore and offshore fishing competition and a VIP party. NFL players from around the country will gather at the Conch House Marina, located at 57 Comares Avenue in St. Augustine, for a day of fishing with locals and visitors, competing for 10 prize packages. The VIP party that night will feature live music, great food & drink, celebrity signings, and an auction. Proceeds will benefit the David Garrard Foundation that supports families impacted by breast cancer and Crohn’s disease and promotes healthy lifestyles for today’s youth. Take a nibble from the signature dishes from more than 20 of the finest restaurants in St. Augustine Beach at this annual ‘taste-fest”. The crowd and judges get to pick the coveted “Best of the Beach” restaurant at the end of the evening. Performing artist Kenya will entertain the crowd with an interactive performance featuring a variety of musical instruments. Admission is free and taste tickets sell for $1 each.
