17th ANNUAL NIGHTS OF LIGHTS Be there when the 17th Annual Nights of Lights blaze to life! Light-Up! Night begins at 4 p.m. in St. Augustine’s Plaza de la Constitucion when Showtime USA performs followed at 5:30 p.m. by the All Star Orchestra entertain. At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Boles will make introductions and holiday remarks from the King’s Balcony at Government House and at 6:45 p.m. the switches will be flipped – first for the city’s Christmas Tree and then for more than two million lights! Selected by AAA in 2010 as one of the 12 best events for holiday cheer in the U.S. and Canada and named one of the American Bus Association’s top 100 destinations for 2011, the spectacular lighting in St. Augustine reflects the city’s 445-year history while creating a beautiful setting for the holidays through January 31.
